Restore homeostasis
so you can think for yourself again.

People come here when something feels off.
Not always dramatically.
Often quietly.
You may still be functioning. Performing. Achieving. Caring for others. Holding the fort.
But beneath the surface:
-
your body feels tight
-
your thinking feels crowded
-
your relationships feel effortful
-
your work feels increasingly disconnected from yourself
-
your nervous system no longer feels like home
Fresh After Salt is a trauma-informed ecosystem for high-functioning professionals seeking restoration of balance within the body, the mind and the systems they move through.
This work is not about becoming someone else.
It is about returning to the parts of yourself buried beneath adaptation, pressure and survival.
People come here to whisper their bodies back to balance.
Through sensation, language, observation and relational awareness, we learn to listen again.
To the body.
To pattern.
To truth.
To what has been overridden for too long.
As balance restores, something unexpected happens:
You begin to feel more like yourself again.
More autonomous.
More spacious.
More alive.
You can think clearly.
Move naturally.
Respond instead of react.
This is not optimisation.
It is homeostasis.
The Method
Observe. Infer. Refer.
This work integrates:
-
trauma-informed practice
-
nervous system regulation
-
systems thinking
-
sensory awareness
-
embodied reflection
-
contemplative traditions
-
interdisciplinary observation
The method is simple:
Observe
Direct sensory experience.
What is actually happening within the body, relationship or system?
Infer
Identify patterns and mechanisms of action.
What is maintaining imbalance?
Refer
Cross-reference observation with established knowledge, lived experience and coherent frameworks.
The aim is not dependency.
The aim is restoration of self-authorship.
Who This Is For
This work tends to resonate deeply with:
-
doctors and healthcare professionals
-
founders and systems thinkers
-
therapists and practitioners
-
high-functioning professionals
-
people who have spent years meeting expectations while quietly losing connection with themselves
Especially those who have:
-
achieved externally while feeling internally constrained
-
become highly competent at overriding their own needs
-
explored psychology, leadership or self-development without lasting embodied change
-
reached a point where the old strategies no longer work
You do not need to collapse before seeking another way.
The Atmosphere
Fresh after Salt feels like:
-
standing on coastal cliffs above wild ocean
-
salt spray against warm skin
-
soft linen and deep breath
-
intelligent conversation without performance
-
nervous system exhale
-
returning to nature’s rhythm
This is a space for:
-
human connection
-
nature connection
-
embodied learning
-
coherent systems
-
gentle honesty
-
sustainable transformation
No powering over.
No performance of healing.
No pressure to become someone new.
Ways To Work Together
The Homeostasis Lab
A membership ecosystem for ongoing nervous system restoration, embodied inquiry and systems-level reflection.
Trauma-Informed Systems Training
Education and integration pathways for clinics, practitioners and organisations seeking more coherent models of care.
Retreats & Immersions
Small-group experiences integrating movement, sound, nature, relational presence and deep restoration.
Strategic Advisory
For founders, clinicians and leaders building human systems that must remain coherent while scaling.
What I Believe
I believe:
-
the body speaks
-
sensation carries intelligence
-
many symptoms are adaptive rather than defective
-
sustainable systems require regulated humans
-
clarity emerges from coherence
-
people flourish when they are no longer forced to abandon themselves to belong
From balance, people feel more themselves again.
They can think for themselves again.
About Lexy Burns
I help high-functioning professionals restore homeostasis so they can think for themselves again.
My work bridges:

embodied observation
-
language and sensation
-

-
the person
-

-
the collective
Guided by one central question:
How are you when unconstrained?

Our Story
Having worked with GPs in private practice, we knew self care alone would not be enough to meet the unique needs of general practice.
Increasing external pressures of the modern era means GPs are at heightened risk of alcohol abuse, mental health issues and occupational burnout.
Drawing on the highest quality evidence in the treatment of burnout and vicarious trauma, as well as over 20 years facilitating groups, we designed Australia's first ever GP Burnout Retreat.
Join us for a 2-day immersive experience.
Learn Cognitive Behavioural and Present Centred Techniques for meeting the unique demands of being a GP.

Our practice is informed by post-graduate research and we are working to demonstrate excellence as a complementary network of trauma-informed practitioners
